David studied Fine Art at The School of Painting at Derby Art College and then completed Teacher Training at St. Peter's, Saltley in Birmingham.
He worked in mainstream secondary education for 30 years and has left teaching to concentrate on painting and running the Broadspectrum Gallery.
David works in oil or watercolour and his main interests relate to atmospheric effects of water and sky. His work in this exhibition is entirely about waves.
He has pictures currently on exhibition in West Cornwall at Clowance Country Estate and has had work on show at The Old Custom House Studio in Porthleven, Cornwall from March 2001, with an exhibition of 20 paintings shown at The Net Loft Gallery in Porthleven during October 2001.
His paintings are in private collections in the UK, Europe, North America, South Africa and Australia.
